Programme description
Digital artist and graphic designer Ukko Alatalo was born and raised in Finland’s North Karelia and Kainuu regions.
Characteristic in his style is a simple, contourless illustration, that focuses on minimal colour spaces and contrasts.
His exhibition Virrentakojat (in English ‘Hymn forges’, or ‘Hymn smiths’) portrays Finno-Ugric tradition with the help of modern methods.
